Sydney FC will start clear favourites in A-League betting when the Newcastle Jets visit on Saturday night.
It certainly hasn’t been the start to the new season that Steve Corica and the Sky Blues would have hoped for. A goalless draw with crosstown rivals the Wanderers in Week 1 was compounded with a shock 1-0 loss to Macarthur in Week 2. The inability to find the back of the net arguably the biggest concern, given the strike power that they boast.
In my opinion, the Jets are unlucky not to have won a match, particularly last weekend’s meeting with the Wanderers. They are building some handy combinations and I’ve really like what I’ve seen of the Georgian international, Beka Mikeltadze, up front.
I can’t really trust Sydney as such clear favourites given what they’ve done so far this season, so I’m going to stay away from match betting.
