Preview:

Just when the New Zealand Warriors looked down and out for the season they produce a win against all odds against one of the competition’s best teams in round 21. Their 24-16 win at Mt Smart means they’re just a game behind the Broncos in eighth spot, but they’ll be up against it to make it two wins in a row when they visit the SCG to play the Roosters on Sunday.

The Chooks are the shortest priced favourites of the round for this match as they are coming off a 22-18 win in Canberra against the Raiders. Winners of four in a row, the Roosters could welcome back captain Boyd Cordner from injury, with the second rower named in the reserves. New Zealand go in unchanged.

The Kiwi side has enjoyed matchups against the Tricolours recently, winning four of the past five between the clubs, but losing their most recent hit out in round 10 last year, 32-0.

The Warriors are one of the better sides on the road this season, particularly covering the points start. The Wolf sees the 13.5-point start as just too many against a New Zealand side that can be explosive on their day. The Roosters might have a lull after last weekend’s high energy game in Canberra.
