Preview:

A bottom four battle gets things started on Saturday when the Dragons host the Titans at Kogarah. Neither side has played well this season, with the Titans suffering a 58-6 hammering at the hands of the Roosters last week and the Dragons losing 12-4 to the Eels.

This match is a meeting of the two worst defensive teams in the NRL, with the Titans conceding 25.7 points per game and the Dragons giving up 23. Despite a star-studded lineup, St George ranks 12th for points scored and the Titans are worse at 15th. It is no wonder both of these sides are at the foot of the table.

Jackson Ford is named as a debutant on the bench for the Dragons, replacing Blake Lawrie. Jai Arrow is back for the Gold Coast in a boost, while AJ Brimson earns a recall at full back in place of the injured Michael Gordon.

Both of these teams have been miserable at covering the spread this season, with the Dragons at 7-12 and the Titans at 5-14, ranking 15th and 16th in the competition.

The Wolf doesn’t know what to expect on Saturday, but points could be on the cards. The Dragons just have to win this against a shambolic Titans side. If they don’t, it could spell the end for coach Paul McGregor.
