Preview:

Newcastle’s first visit to Bankwest Stadium is a big one as Nathan Brown’s side look to avoid their sixth loss in a row when they play Parramatta on Saturday night. The Eels are hunting their fifth win in six games and now sit comfortably in the top eight in sixth spot, two games clear of the seventh placed Sharks.

The Knights have lost their way after their best patch of form this season, with a 30-6 loss to the Sea Eagles their latest defeat in a string of poor performances.

Parra ground out a 12-4 win against the Dragons at Kogarah last week, but bring a poor recent record against the Knights into this match.

The blue and golds have lost their past four games to the Knights, including by 28-14 in round 7 this season. The Knights are unchanged, while the Eels will also line up with the same 17 as last weekend.

Newcastle are a sinking ship at the moment and not one The Wolf is going to jump on. The Eels are 6-1 at Bankwest Stadium and should record their first win against the Novocastrians since 2016.
