Preview:

It was a week to forget for the Cowboys and Tigers, both registering losses in round 13. One of them will be in the winner’s circle after their Friday night clash in Townsville. There are few changes for the Cows, with Enari Tuala shifting to centre, while Jordan McLean’s injury has seen Scott Bolton promoted to the starting unit. For Wests, captain Moses Mbye is back after their 28-0 hammering by Canberra. Benji Marshall’s eye injury isn’t enough to see him out of the side just yet.

It’s a tale of two halves of the season so far for these teams, with the Cowboys coming together in recent weeks and the Tigers falling away. Separated by just points differential, Wests have won just three of their past 10 games, while the Cowboys have taken the points in five of their past eight overall.

The Tigers have been victorious in three of their past four meetings with North Queensland, including their most recent up north, a 26-16 win in 2017. They are drastically out of form at the minute though and a 28-0 shut out by the Raiders at home makes that obvious. The Wolf can’t back them away from home against the Cows side that were narrowly downed by Manly a week ago.
