Preview:

The Sea Eagles and Eels close out round 18 at Lottoland, with both teams neck and neck in the standings. Manly were unlucky not to come away with a win against Souths last time out, falling by a point at ANZ Stadium. The Eels triumphed 30-18 at Bankwest Stadium and will be hoping to translate their sublime home form to road games.

Tom Trbojevic is back at full back for Manly with Brendan Elliot moving back to the reserves and Lachlan Croker retained on the bench for Des Hasler’s side. No changes for the Eels after their win against Wests.

In their two encounters last season, 54 and 50 points were scored in each of the two matches, with the Sea Eagles thumping Parra 54-0 in round two and the Eels returning serve 44-10 in round seven. The Eels have had the wood on Manly for some time now, winning seven of the past eight dating back to round 24, 2014.

The Wolf senses the tide may be turning though and Manly will want to make a statement against an old rival on Sunday afternoon footy at Lottoland. They should win by more than a converted try in a high-scoring match.
