Preview:

Wins against the competition’s bottom two sides have pushed the Broncos into the top eight in what is a log jam between 7th and 13th spot in the standings.

The Titans were no match for the Broncos last time out, with Brisbane prevailing 34-12 at Cbus Super Stadium. The task is much tougher for Brisbane this weekend, as they host the league-leading Storm coming off a loss.

Melbourne were downed for the first time in 10 games, losing 11-10 to Manly in the dying moments of golden point. Suliasi Vunivalu is back on the wing in their only change, while Matt Gillett is back for the Broncos, but Tevita Pangai Jnr will miss through suspension.

Melbourne has an imposing record against Brisbane, winning six in a row. In their round 1 meeting, Melbourne won 22-12, with their last five games against Brisbane won by double digits.

The Wolf isn’t ready to jump back on the Broncos bandwagon after wins against the Dogs and Titans. They are just 4-4 against the spread at home, while Melbourne is 6-3 and has had their measure in recent seasons when the Broncos roster has been much better. It’s the Storm all the way on Friday night.
