The Cats take a trip to Perth on Saturday afternoon looking to extend West Coast’s miserable losing streak to nine.
Geelong comes in fresh after beating the Bulldogs a fortnight ago under the roof at Marvel, and while they’ve typically been a tough side to trust following the bye, it’s hard to see them losing to a West Coast team that is still battling through injury.
In positive news, Jeremy McGovern looks a chance at returning after training earlier in the week, but the Eagles are still missing the likes of Oscar Allen, Nic Naitanui, and Zac Langdon.
The Cats, meanwhile, have some injury concerns of their own with Patrick Dangerfield out for one more week, but there is some good news on the Tom Stewart front with the star defender set to return from concussion.
As the line suggests, the Cats should win this game if they take care of the footy and continue to bring the same kind of pressure that has been on display in recent wins over Port, the Crows, and the Dogs.
Scoring points, among many other things, has been the biggest challenge for West Coast so far, and with Tom Hawkins and Jeremy Cameron trading blows in the Coleman Medal race, this shapes as another long afternoon for the home side.
