The Sydney Swans had a topsy turvy start to the season but they are finding form at the right time of year.
The Swans have now won four on the trot, most importantly, all against sides in and around the eight.
Errol Gulden has gone to another level in recent weeks and he collected 32 disposals (25 kicks), laid eight tackles, had 677 meters gained and kicked 2.2 against GWS last weekend.
Gold Coast’s season officially ended last week with a loss to the Crows in Adelaide, another disappointing campaign where they will just miss playing finals for the first time in their history.
With that in mind I don’t think they will have as much to play for as the home team who will be a genuine threat to whoever they play in the first week of finals should they sneak in.
