The Cats lead at the top of the table has shrunk after a four goal loss to the Hawks in round 18. Geelong has gone W-L-W-L in its past four games after starting the season brilliantly and winning 10 of its first 11 games.
Sydney is out of the running for finals, three games out of the eight and languishing in the bottom four. The dagger went through their September aspirations with a one-point loss to the Dockers in Perth last round.
Geelong took the chocolates in round 11 with a 22-point win at GMHBA Stadium. Tom Hawkins booted four goals for the Cats who took the lead in the second term and never looked back.
The Cats were money on the handicap earlier in the season, but have covered the line just once in their past five games. The Wolf thinks this is a good bounce back spot for Geelong though and they should win, but they haven’t hit the scoreboard recently, and it could be a tight, contested game of footy at the small SCG on Sunday.
