Port will be out to arrest a two game losing streak and run of poor form when they host the Giants on Saturday night in Adelaide. Winning just 4 of their past 10 games as the Power on the outside looking in, at ninth spot in the standings, a game behind rivals Adelaide.
The Giants got back in the winners circle with a big odds-against win against the Pies to the tune of 47 points last weekend. The league’s youngest club got the jump on the Pies, booting eight goals to one in the first term to put the result beyond doubt.
GWS lost its only game at Adelaide Oval to the Crows by 21 points earlier this season, but their recent record against Port is strong, winning four of the past five, including a 22 point win last season at this venue.
Port is just 6-11 against the handicap this season and they are one goal underdogs for this game. Home hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for them either, with a 3-6 spread record and a 5-4 head to head market.
The Wolf thinks the smart play in this one is to take the Giants at the small line, although neither of these sides have been easy to pick this season.
