It was all sunshine and rainbows after Port Adelaide thumped the Brisbane Lions to kick start their 2023 campaign but football is the great leveller.
The Power were beaten by Collingwood to the tune of 71 points at the MCG on Saturday afternoon, bringing them back down to earth.
Adelaide showed plenty of fight in the third quarter when they looked like they were going to go down by a big margin at one stage.
It is not going to happen overnight for the Crows and while their are plenty of positives in terms of young talent, they have now failed to cover the line in their last four straight.
Jason Horn-Francis struggled to get his hands on it against the Pies and has come under plenty of scrutiny but he plays in his first showdown and will be looking for a big game.
I think the Power will simply be too much for the Crows at this stage in the season.
