Essendon’s season is hanging by a thread and while they are only four points behind 8th placed GWS, it’s their poor percentage that may hurt them.
All three of their final games are winnable with GWS and Collingwood to come after this weekend, but other results would need to fall in place for a chance at winning their first final since 2004.
It’s their form that is the most concerning and although they broke a three game losing streak last week, it was by the barest of margins against the a side that sits last on the AFL ladder.
North Melbourne have had a horror season and they head into this game having lost 18 games in a row.
