In search of an important early-season victory, GWS and Gold Coast will do battle at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
For the second straight campaign the Giants will enter Round 3 winless, having fallen to Sydney (112-92) and Richmond (109-73).
Each of those defeats came despite the efforts of Tom Green, who is averaging 32.5 disposals in just his third AFL campaign.
The Suns were also unsuccessful during their latest outing, falling 82-69 to Melbourne at Metricon Stadium to leave them at 1-1 in 2022.
Touk Miller did what he could for Gold Coast, accumulating 38 disposals and nine clearances, while Noah Anderson was also influential with 25 disposals and two goals.
Gold Coast was more successful when last facing GWS, claiming a 65-64 victory at Mars Stadium during Round 17, 2021 behind Miller’s monstrous 35-disposal, 14-tackle, 11-clearance, two-goal performance.
That result snapped the Suns’ nine-match losing streak against GWS.
