The Cats went into their game against the Dockers as warm favourites but went down by two points in a close one.
It was a game that they were expected to win simply because it was at their home ground but the truth is that Fremantle are flying and they were beaten by a better side.
Geelong has won each of its last 17 matches after losing as a favourite and the possible return of both Patrick Dangerfield, Sam Menegola and Gary Rohan will only help their cause.
On the flip side, the market may have overreacted to what was a promising win for GWS in Adelaide by 59 points.
But we can’t be too quick to forgot the three bad losses in a row before that win.
These two teams opened pretty much even money straight after round seven was finished and although the money has come for the Cats now they are still a good betting proposition.
I really like them at the line but there is plenty of value for them to win by a margin.
