Gold Coast Suns vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Odds

Gold Coast Suns vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Preview

The Suns find themselves in the thick of things following last week’s 67-point beatdown over Hawthorn.

A spot in the top eight won’t come easy with the Tigers, Pies and Port all in contention, but another game up in Darwin against the struggling Kangaroos does bode particularly well for their chances.

Gold Coast’s underrated forward line enjoyed another big day out last week against the Hawks, especially Mabior Chol and Malcolm Rosas, who both finished with three goals each.

Youngster Joel Jeffrey has added another wrinkle on attack, while the Suns’ remaining fixture (eight games against teams currently not in the Top 8) is also very encouraging.

North, meanwhile, continues to trend towards a second straight wooden spoon.

The Roos lost by 53 last week against St Kilda as they continue to find points extremely hard to come by.

That certainly wasn’t the case when these two sides met last year, but with North struggling to find targets inside 50, this shapes as an entirely different story.

The Suns have been a great team when it comes to winning the inside 50 battle, while they should be nice and settled in Darwin on the back of last week’s big win.

Very rarely would you feel confident in backing the Suns to cover such a healthy margin, but based on what’s at stake and how poor North have looked this year, Stuart Dew’s men should win well.
