Fremantle showed a heap of resolve when they found plenty late in the game against Adelaide away from home.
The Dockers led for the majority of the contest when the Crows kicked the goals clear in the final term only for this young Freo outfit to show plenty of resolve to win by a singular point.
Of the teams that finished outside the eight last season, I’m of the opinion that the Dockers are the best chance at causing some damage in September and although it was only against Adelaide, that win in round one showed plenty of spirit.
St Kilda threatened to again wallow in the middle and lower part of the table when they went down to Collingwood in a game that they should really be winning if they are to challenge in 2022.
The game was there for the taking during the final quarter but they failed to take their opportunity.
I simply couldn’t back the Saints off the back of that performance.
