Sunday nights clash between the Bombers and Giants at Metricon will either make or break their seasons with both teams trying to book a place in the top eight.
It’s set to be a cracking contest to finish off the round, but a bloody hard one to tip especially given it’s at a neutral venue and just about anything and everything can happen until the bounce of the ball at 6:10 pm this Sunday night, GWS can attest to this.
For the Bombers, they will need to defend their top eight spot currently sitting eighth on the ladder, just ahead on percentage with Richmond, Fremantle and the Saints and just two points ahead fo the Giants.
The Dons record against teams in the top eight hasn’t been great this season, but with only two of their last five games against sides in the top eight Essendon can make a finals push and ultimately break that pesky drought of 6000+ days.
Rather than a tip for the result of the game, I’ll focus my attention on Jake “The Package” Stringer who signed for a further three years at the Bombers on Wednesday.
Stringer has played some excellent footy this year both in the midfield and up forward and has most certainly got his team and the Dons fans up and about.
With a bit of strut and nice little carrot on offer in his contract extension, there’s no reason why he can’t kick 3 sausage rolls on Sunday night and is offering up a good price.
