Collingwood have all but assured they will finish on top of the ladder at the close of the home and away season but they will be keen to get in the winner’s column after back to back losses.
The Pies have had near full list to chose from throughout the entire season but injury struck their best performing player, and the Brownlow favourite, last weekend.
Although Nick Daicos is a huge loss, it is not the only cause for concern and the Pies will need to be playing their best football come September, something they are not doing right at the minute.
Geelong’s season has been far from their 2022 campaign where they, of course, had the ultimate success.
The Cats are no certainty to extend their season beyond August although their percentage may play a factor after 24 rounds.
They have their own injury concerns with Tom Hawkins and Mark Blicavs on the sidelines and Jeremy Cameron will need to find his early season form if they are to be a threat in September should they make it that far.
Five of the last six games between these two teams have been decided by a margin of less than 15 points and I’m expecting another close game.
