In red-hot form to begin 2022, Collingwood will look to move to 3-0 by upsetting Geelong at the MCG on Saturday night.
The Magpies dominated Adelaide last weekend, claiming a 100-58 victory at this venue to add to their 102-85 win against St Kilda in Round 1.
They’ve implemented a considerably more attacking style of play under Craig McRae, demonstrated by the fact they’ve scored 100+ points in back-to-back outings, compared to only reaching triple figures once for the entirety of last season.
Meanwhile, the Cats have similarly shifted to a more attacking system, with each of their fixtures against Essendon and Sydney totalling 180+ points, something which only happened on three occasions during 2021.
With that said, Geelong was made to look second-rate by Sydney en route to a 107-77 defeat at the SCG last Friday, indicating an improved effort may be needed if the Cats are to bounce back.
