The Lions have accounted for Port Adelaide 80-69 at this venue and Essendon 97-75 at Marvel Stadium across the opening two rounds, overturning deficits of exactly 24 points in both matchups.
Lachie Neale absolutely dominated the latter of those contests, recording 41 disposals, 22 contested possessions, 12 clearances and two goals.
Meanwhile, North Melbourne claimed an unconvincing 74-59 victory against a severely depleted West Coast lineup at Marvel Stadium last Sunday behind Nick Larkey’s six-goal performance, improving its record to 1-1 in 2022.
Larkey put through three of the Kangaroos’ six majors when they fell 68-45 to Brisbane at Blundstone Arena during Round 14, 2021.
Jarryd Lyons was the Lions’ strongest performer during that matchup, accumulating 36 disposals and 12 tackles, while Neale added 30 and 10 to go with a goal.
