Two wins in a row has the Saints eyeing off a potential finals berth and although unlikely, their Saturday night showdown with the Crows looks to be their toughest remaining match on paper. With games to follow against Fremantle, Carlton and Sydney, finals are not an impossible task for the Saints.
They are helped by facing an out of form Crows who lost to Carlton by 27 points at the MCG in round 19 to fall to 9-9 on the season, dropping their fourth game in five starts.
Since the sacking of coach Alan Richardson, St Kilda has beaten the Dogs and Dees in consecutive weeks and will be gunning for their first three-game winning streak of the season.
Against them is their recent record against the Crows, which isn’t pretty. Adelaide has won nine in a row against the Saints, with the visitors’ last win coming in 2011. In round 6, the Crows got home by 29 points at Marvel Stadium. In their last meeting in Adelaide, the Crows saluted by 57 points.
The Saints are a dismal 0-9 at Adelaide Oval, but despite this record, The Wolf is going to back them to at least keep it close. They are 3-6 in covering the spread at Adelaide Oval and they are under rated this round.
