The Crows have dropped out of the top eight and will be desperate to leapfrog the eighth placed Power with a win against Collingwood on Saturday night. In a hard fought match in Perth against the Eagles, the Crows just fell short, losing by 10 points. That was despite monster games from the Crouch brothers, with Matt notching 43 touches and Brad 35.
Collingwood toppled Melbourne by 17 points to make it two in a row for the injury-riddled black and whites, who are still a shot at the top four, but will need Richmond to lose one of its next two matches and the Pies have to win both of theirs.
The Magpies have won just one of their past five against Adelaide and have registered just one victory at the Adelaide Oval all time. Collingwood are one of the best interstate teams in the competition and 2019 has been no different, with three wins from four trips outside Victoria.
There is so much to play for in this one for both sides, and with the Pies’ injury woes, wins against the Suns and Demons don’t mask the fact that they’ll be limping into the finals. The Crows should be able to use the big home crowd to their advantage and The Wolf is backing them to stay in the finals hunt well and truly with a win.
