Three wins from their last five days has the Dogs hot on the heels of a spot back inside the eight.

Luke Beveridge’s side scrapped their way to a 19-point win over the Suns in Ballarat last week, and there appears to be some further good news in terms of personnel with Tim English and Cody Weightman both a chance at playing on Saturday.

As for West Coast, things continue to spiral out of control.

The Eagles managed to score a few points against GWS last week, but it was still another miserable day at the office for Adam Simpson with his side suffering another 50+ point loss.

The Bulldogs need to be careful not to underestimate the Eagles, but they have every right to feel confident knowing they won against West Coast in Perth last year by seven goals.

It sounds like Luke Shuey is okay after suffering a hamstring injury last week, while the inclusion of Josh Kennedy would also be a big plus.

Overall, the Dogs should have enough firepower up forward to score easily against West Coast’s awful back line, but given their goal-kicking woes this season, there’s a chance the Eagles at least keep this respectable.
