Twilight footy returns to Darwin on Saturday night for what should be a very close battle between 12th and 13th on the ladder.

The Suns saw their two-game winning streak come to an end last week in Ballarat against the Bulldogs, but there were plenty of positives to take away with Rising Star nominee Joel Jeffrey kicking five goals in just his second game of the season.

Hawthorn, meanwhile, recorded perhaps its most impressive win of the new Sam Mitchell era over the Lions in Launceston.

Controversial umpiring aside, the Hawks stormed home late after finding themselves down four goals, largely thanks to a big day out from Mitch Lewis and another Rising Star, Jai Newcombe.

The Hawks have suffered another blow in the ruck with Max Lynch ruled out after suffering a head knock last week, but it’s still hard to back against the brown and gold on the back of their stirring win over the Lions.

Hawthorn’s aggressive play off half-back has been exciting to watch all season, and if they can continue to mark the ball inside 50, they should prove a real challenge for a Suns team that has faced two tough road tests in back to back weeks.
