A week is a long time in footy and the Blues are in the winner’s column again after a rousing comeback win against the Lions. Conceding the first 6 goals of the match, it looked grim for Carlton fans after the axing of coach Brendan Bolton earlier in the week. They kicked 11 of the last 14 goals against the Lions to win by 15 points and record just their second win this season.
The Dogs had the bye last round but in round 11 lost by 61 points to the Eagles in Perth. That loss slipped them into the bottom four and at 4-7, finals are looking a tall order for the 2016 premiers.
These sides met in round 5 this season, where they Blues stunned the Dogs to win by 44 points. Neither of these sides are playing good footy at the minute, but The Wolf senses a win for the Blues might just have released the shackles and they will certainly not be short of confidence against the Dogs come Saturday night. Look for them to keep things close.
