Two sides neck and neck on the ladder face off in Perth on Saturday afternoon when the Dockers host the Power. Freo has been the league’s surprise packet this season, winning 6 games from 11 and knocking off the red hot Pies last time out. Port got back in the winner’s circle with a commanding 70 point win in China, their third straight win in that annual fixture.

Port is 1-2 at Optus Stadium, but knocked off the Eagles as big underdogs earlier in the season by 43 points to notch their first win at the venue. The home side has won each of the past six games in this fixture dating back to 2015, with all 3 of Freo’s wins being by a 1-39 margin and all 3 of Port’s home wins by a 40+ scoreline.

Both teams will be well rested for this one and in the grand scheme of the standings, this could be a big game come season’s end, with the sides separated by just percentage. It is hard to deny the Dockers at home, where they are 4-2 and win more often than not. The Wolf has been cautious with backing the Power, although they are set to welcome back Ollie Wines and Charlie Dixon this weekend.
