Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors Preview

Four wins on the trot has the Warriors firmly on the cusp of a top four finals berth, last week’s win resembling the dangerous side that led them to this opportunity earlier in the season.

After escaping in golden point against the Raiders a week earlier, the Warriors flexed their muscle against the out-of-form Titans, Shaun Johnson leading the way with a hat-trick in the 10-point rout.

The bottom-placed Tigers have now lost nine games in a row after their remarkable midseason purple patch, coming home with a wet sail during the second half last week against the Canberra Raiders, only to fall four points short after Luke Brooks crossed with 10 minutes to spare.

A trip across the ditch makes this a very tough assignment for Wests, a club that has gone 1-9 on the road this year.

Technically, the Tigers are the home side, but five straight losses to New Zealand makes for tough reading – especially with Charlie Staines and Daine Laurie likely on the sideline.
