The Eels make their annual trip to the Top End and host the Raiders in one of the tougher games to call this round. Parra put in a terrific showing against the Broncos two weeks ago, thrashing them 38-10 in another stellar performance at Bankwest Stadium. Canberra led 20-0 against Cronulla before the Sharks reeled them back in, with a 63rd minute Jarrod Croker penalty goal the difference between the two at full time.
Young five-eighth Dylan Brown is back after a stint on the sidelines since round three. He is slotted to start, with Jaeman Salmon moving back to the pine. In the only other starting chance, Brad Takairangi replaces Michael Jennings. For the Raiders, injured centre Nick Cotric is replaced by Sebastian Kris, while Josh Hodgson starts at hooker in a big boost for the Green Machine.
The Raiders have the wood on the Eels, beating them five times in a row, including a 19-0 blanking in round 5 this season. In fact, in their past two games against Canberra, Parra has scored just two points. Canberra is giving up just 14.3 points per game, making them the second best defensive outfit in the league behind Melbourne. Parra are third worst at 21.9 points per game and in hot and humid conditions in Darwin, defensive discipline will be key. The Wolf has the Raiders just edging this one, with the return of Hodgson huge.
