Preview:

Newcastle and Wests both find themselves on three game losing streaks as they meet in Newcastle on Friday night. The Knights were on the cusp of the top four before losses to the Warriors, Dogs and Roosters has them down in eighth spot.

The hot and cold Tigers have had a tough draw, with losses to the Roosters, Eels and Raiders, although all by 12 points or less.

Newcastle has named the same team that was flogged by the Chooks 48-10 in round 18. The Tigers changes come in the backline, with Corey Thompson back at fullback and Moses Mbye shifting to centre.

The Tigers have been one of the best at covering the handicap this season at 10-7 and have a 5-3 mark on the road. Newcastle is even at 4-4 at home, although they have failed to cover in their past 2 home games.

Robbie Farah’s 300th game should lift the Tigers, but they failed to deliver the points in Benji Marshall’s milestone two weeks ago and they have been outplayed in the first half of their last two games. The Wolf expects Newcastle to bounce back from some recent flat performances and put on a show at home.
