The Knights were ensured a spot in the top eight if they were to take care of business against the Dolphins last week, and although they were thrown all they could handle, Adam O’Brien’s side certainly lost no admirers in the 30-28 win in Perth.

Despite falling a man short in the first half, Newcastle rallied behind a monster day from the in-form Kalyn Ponga, who not only scored the first try, but also slotted all five of his conversions.

The Bulldogs, on the other hand, return fresh from the bye following their own narrow win over the Dolphins a fortnight earlier.

The Dogs have proven a tough out over the last month with two wins from their last four games, but fans will likely still have nightmares from the 66-0 drubbing they suffered at the hands of Newcastle just over a month ago.
