Preview:
Souths snatched an emotional and important win against the Broncos last weekend, but will need to win their final two games to stand a chance of finishing in the top four.
They travel to Auckland to play a Warriors side that has been thumped in recent weeks. A 42-6 loss to the Roosters was followed by a 42-16 loss at Cronulla to end their season.
Kodi Nikorima is back in the halves for the Warriors in a welcome boost, while the Bunnies also boost some significant ins. Alex Johnston, Ethan Lowe, Kyle Turner and Sam Burgess have all been named in the starting 17.
Souths have won six of their past seven games against New Zealand, including a 28-24 win at the Sunshine Coast earlier this season. That victory came thanks to some Cody Walker brilliance, with the five-eighth scoring four tries and Souths running in the last 16 points to win.
The Bunnies are 7-4 on the road in 2019, but just 5-1-5 against the handicap. The Warriors are 12-10 against the line overall, but 5-6 at home.
The Wolf thinks they’ll have it much easier this time around. The Warriors have pulled up stumps for the season and Souths need all the points they can get to overtake the Sea Eagles and Raiders in the standings. Souths to win by double digits.
