Melbourne Storm vs Cronulla Sharks Preview
The Melbourne Storm come into this one off a short turnaround following their 42-20 win over the Warriors on Sunday. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, on the other hand, must be itching to get out there after allowing the Bulldogs to win their first game of the 2021 NRL season.
George Jennings is out with a head knock which brings Tom Eisenhuth into the centres. Nelson Asofa-Solomona is also out with Ryley Jacks and Chris Lewis coming onto the bench. Wade Graham and Aiden Tolman return for the Sharks while Will Chambers will make his club debut. Josh Dugan is the big-name casualty.
The Sharks should have won last week. Replace Mawene Hiroti with Ronaldo Mulitalo and they avoid embarrassment. They’ve shown enough to be confident in the +16.5 line. Shaun Johnson didn’t miss a beat and will be better for the run around last week while Tolman provides some more stability in the middle. The Storm are on fire and don’t often drop these sort of games at home. However, the eye test suggests Cronulla can keep it close.
