The 15-6 Sydney Kings’ lead at the top of the NBL ladder has been trimmed to two points after they lost five of eight games in December. But the calendar flipping over to 2020 has agreed with the Kings, chalking up comfortable wins over the 36ers (91-77) and Taipans (92-83) so far.
The Kings are on a six-game winning streak against the Breakers. They put the Auckland outfit away 76-66 at Spark Arena early in the season.
Despite losing their last two on the road, the Kings deserve their favouritism following the bursting of the Breakers’ bubble.
