After an outstanding Week 16 – accounting for the Kings (86-81) and United (90-68) at home – the Breakers suffered an excruciating one-point loss in Perth last weekend. But with seven wins from their last 10, it’s been a remarkable turnaround from a Breakers side struggling for form and hit with scandals early in the season.
Adelaide have endured a dismal past fortnight, crashing to the Taipans away (108-91) and the Bullets at home (108-99). They are just 4-8 on the road, losing their last three.
The Sixers have won seven of their last 10 against the Breakers. But after grabbing wins at home (117-100) and away (99-96) earlier this season, the 36ers went down 96-87 at home in late-December.
The Breakers have won three of four in Auckland since losing to the 36ers and rate among the NBL’s form teams at present. Expect the Kiwi outfit to keep their playoffs flame flickering.
