Preview:
The 10-11 Bullets have notched the handy scalps of the Kings, United, Wildcats and Breakers in the past three weeks. Lamar Patterson has been in a dominant mood – dropping 35 points against both Melbourne and Perth – while a 10-point win in Auckland last week improved a fairly dismal away record.
The 5-17 Hawks have lost their last four, including home defeats to the Wildcats (99-77) and Phoenix (90-82) in Round 15. The injury absence of teen sensation LaMelo Ball has derailed any hopes of the Hawks climbing out of the NBL cellar.
The Bullets are on a six-game winning streak against the Hawks – including three already this season. They picked up a pair of wins in Wollongong during the first month of the campaign (90-81 and 83-69) and prevailed 101-91 in Brisbane last month.
It’s a hefty line, but the Hawks have lost four of their last five on the road by double-digit margins. The in-form Bullets look the goods to cover.
