The Swans top-four hopes took a drastic hit with last week’s defeat to Carlton, their third loss in their last five games.

Sydney mounted a strong second-half fightback after falling behind by 38 points, but it was too little too late after John Longmire’s side gave up six goals to Charlie Curnow.

The Tigers, meanwhile, made it four on the trot with a comfortable win over Essendon.

Richmond dominated for most of the Dreamtime game, and there looks to be some good news on the Tom Lynch front with the star forward set to miss only one game with a minor hamstring injury.

Lynch’s absence largely explains the price on offer the Swans, alongside the fact the Tigers haven’t beaten Sydney at the SCG since 2015.

The Swans also defeated the Tigers by 45 points when they last met, but this does look a different challenge against a Richmond outfit that has rediscovered its mojo.

Shai Bolton and Jack Riewoldt are more than capable of filling the void left by Lynch, while the Tigers have also been a much more efficient team inside 50 compared to the Swans.

Sydney’s goal-kicking has also been in question over the last few weeks, making it hard to back against the Tigers at the current price.
