North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Western Bulldogs Preview

The Roos and the Dogs kick off the traditional Good Friday slate with plenty on the line for both clubs.

North gave their fans something to get excited about last week in their loss to the Swans, a strong response to their previous 108-point loss to Brisbane the week prior.

Defender turned full-forward Jack Ziebell starred with a five-goal bag, while head coach David Noble has to be pleased with the way his team opened the game in the first quarter.

As for the Dogs, it’s now or never.

Luke Beveridge’s men were atrocious in front of goal last week kicking 7.19 in their blowout loss to Richmond.

Statistically speaking, the Dogs won just about every other major category, but for a side loaded with talent and experience, it begs the question, is this a mental problem?

It’s tough to know, but a game against North might be just what the doctor ordered.

The Dogs have won three in a row against North coming in, all by 25 points or more.

That said, North owns a perfect 7-0 record as the away underdog at the line over the last 12 months, and they can certainly keep this game respectable if Jy Simpkin, Jaidyn Stephenson, and Rising Star nominee Jason Horne-Francis all leave their mark.

The Dogs should get the job done, but on the back of last week’s honourable loss, North can keep this interesting.
