Sunday arvo’s clash between the Roos and Saints should see two evenly matched teams fight it out in what should be a fascinating contest.

Both teams gave their coaches the Freo Heave Ho last season and appointed the caretakers, Rhyce Shaw (North Melbourne) and Brett Ratten (St.Kilda) to the top job.

Towards the end of the season, both clubs showed they had a future and gave their fans some much-needed hope.

The Saints won both their Marsh Series matches over the Hawks and Magpies whereas North ended up getting beat by the Bulldogs and had a solid won over Sydney.

Not that the Marsh Series should be seen as a performance indicator, but it’s a half-decent sneak-peak.

The bookies have set the line -2.5 in favour of the Saints.

I think this game will be close and St.Kilda should beat it and find themselves with four premiership points at the end of the first round.
