The Tigers are now flag favourites and on form should have no trouble handling the second from bottom Demons on Saturday night.

Melbourne lost their third game in a row last time out, falling down in the final term yet again, as St Kilda kicked five goals to three in the final quarter to win by 19 points. Richmond can’t put a foot wrong at the minute, winning their fifth game in a row to climb into the top four, a game clear of 5th placed GWS.

In their round 6 Anzac Eve clash, the Tigers dominated Melbourne from half-time onwards, booting six goals to two to win by 43 points. In a blow for the Tigers, captain Trent Cotchin will be sidelined with a hamstring injury, but their injury list has steadily improved in recent weeks.

Richmond is 7-2 straight up at the ‘G and 6-3 against the spread this season. Three of Melbourne’s five wins this year have come at the home of footy, but they are a dismal 2-7 against the handicap at the ground and 5-13 overall. Late in the season, the Dees are bound to pick up a morale boosting win and they haven’t been far away in recent times. This isn’t the week for them though against a red-hot Tigers side. The Wolf sniffs a blow out.
