Preview:

The Gold Coast Suns will be looking for their first win since round 4 and to end a 17-game losing streak when they host the Giants on Saturday night. A 70-point loss to the Hawks at Marvel Stadium was another listless performance from the Suns, who lost their third straight game by 10+ goals.

The Giants weren’t much better after half time against the Dogs, losing by 61 points while failing to kick a goal in the second half, as their inability to hit the scoreboard is becoming a real flaw of the Sydneysiders.

They are assured a finals position and can finish no higher than their current standing of sixth and realistically, won’t slide lower than that spot even with a loss on Saturday night.

The Giants have won seven in a row against the Suns, including an 83-point thumping in round 11 this season. The Wolf can’t back the Suns in any capacity these days and while the Giants have hardly dazzled lately, they will see this as a finals tune up and win comfortably.
