The Suns are the biggest outsiders of the round as they host the suddenly red-hot Bombers at Metricon Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Dons came back from the brink against the Crows, with another spirited second half display that has lifted them into the top eight. They will look to cement their spot against the lowly Suns, who lost by four goals last time out to the Blues.
Essendon has a 3-2 record at Metricon Stadium, beating the line in four of those five meetings. Last weekend was Essendon’s first win away from Melbourne and they are 1-3 in interstate matches in 2019. In their only meeting a season ago, the Bombers won by 44 points. Prior to that, Essendon won by 33 points.
Only once have the Bombers covered the 37.5-point start in this one against the Suns on the road, and The Wolf doesn’t think they deserve to be such massive road favourites and there might be a let down spot after a big win against the Crows last round.
