Together with four wins from the opening five rounds of the 2022 season, Fremantle and Carlton will face off at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
The Dockers made a statement last Sunday by defeating a hapless Essendon side 107-59 at Marvel Stadium, led by Matt Taberner’s career-best seven-goal performance and Andrew Brayshaw’s 34-disposal, one-goal display.
The Dockers allowed the Bombers just two points during the third quarter of that matchup, marking the fourth straight fixture in which they have held their opponents goalless in a quarter.
Meanwhile, the Blues were held to just two goals during the second half of their matchup with Port Adelaide last weekend, although they were still able to hold on to win 94-91 after leading by as many as 50 points.
Carlton has now failed to kick more than three goals in the second half during each of its last three matches.
