If everything falls into place, the Giants could face a ‘win and you’re in’ scenario on Sunday afternoon at Marvel.

A Bulldogs loss on Saturday would basically make this game meaningless, but if things turn out differently, this could be a season-defining clash for first-year head coach, Adam Kingsley.

To make things even more interesting, this could also turn out to be a preview of the following week’s elimination final should the Giants prevail.

Before we get ahead of ourselves though, this is just as much an important game for Carlton with the chances of slipping down to seventh still a realistic possibility.

At the same time, Jesse Hogan kicked a massive nine-goal bag against the Dons, while Toby Greene is capable of turning a game on its head all by himself.

Unless you’re a Dogs fan, the narrative of the Giants sneaking in on the final day is tough to root against, but with the Blues white hot and scoring for fun, Carlton just might spoil the party.
