Welcome to do-or-diesville, with the loser out of the finals race barring a miracle in the remaining two rounds. Sydney Roosters and Parramatta are locked on 26 points but trending in opposite directions.

The Roosters have stayed alive with consecutive wins for the first time since Round 9, downing Manly 26-16 and the Dolphins 30-14. The unheralded likes of Drew Hutchison and Billy Smith led the way against the Dolphins with a previously spluttering attack steadily improving.

The Eels have lost three of their last four, following up a contentious win over lowly St George Illawarra with a diabolical 54-10 loss to Brisbane that also saw No.7 linchpin ruled out until at least the finals with injury.

Daejarn Asi moves back to the halves for Moses, with Bailey Simonsson returning to centre as Maika Sivo ends is suspension. Reagan Campbell-Gillard is also back from a judiciary-enforced break in time to replace Andrew Davey (concussion) in the pack.

Star Roosters back-rower Angus Crichton returns from a seven-week layoff at Dylan Napa’s expense. All eyes are on halfback Sam Walker, who starred in NSW Cup last week and has been named 18th man.

The Roosters have won seven of their last nine against the Eels, including a 28-20 victory at Allianz Stadium in Round 5. But the Eels took out the teams’ 2021-22 clashes at CommBank Stadium.

CommBank continues to prove a fortress for the blue-and-golds, winning six of their last seven at their home base. Whether that’s enough to compensate for the loss of Moses and their recent slump is another story – and the Roosters are $1.60.
