The Eels and Broncos both came crashing back down to earth with shocking displays last round. They will meet on Saturday night at Bankwest Stadium, with the Eels in the top eight by just a single point on the points differential measure, with the Broncos on their tail in 9th spot. Parra turned in an awful performance against the Sharks to lose by 20 points last weekend, while the Broncos weren’t much better in a listless 8 point defeat at the hands of the lowly Titans.

Injuries have hit Brisbane hard this weekend, with half back Tom Dearden to miss plenty of time with an ankle injury and 250 game veteran Alex Glenn suffering a knee injury. The Broncos’ Origin players are back in the fold, while former Chook Sean O’Sullivan will steer the ship in the seven jersey. Parramatta has recalled Jaeman Salmon, while veteran prop Tim Mannah has left the club for Wests after a decade in the blue and gold.

The Wolf could go either way in this one, but the Eels have been solid at Bankwest, barring that one horror loss to the Panthers. The Broncos are now up to their third half back of the season and just aren’t meshing well in attack. The teams have split their last four meetings, with the Broncos winning the only encounter between the two 18-10 last season. Parra has disappointed plenty of times this campaign, but the instability within the Brisbane side has the pendulum swinging in the blue and gold direction.
