Preview:

It’s back-to-back top four clashes for the Storm and Raiders when they meet in Melbourne on Saturday. The Storm took care of Souths in fast-paced match 26-16 in Gosford in round 21, while the Raiders fell four points short against the Roosters, losing 22-18.

The competition leaders will welcome back fullback Jahrome Hughes, while Ryan Papenhuyzen is back after a week out, replacing Billy Walters. Joey Leilua is back for Canberra in the centres after a long injury layoff, moving Nick Cotric to the wing.

When the pair met in Canberra in round 2, Melbourne prevailed 22-10 after jumping out to a 16-0 lead early in the second half. The Storm has not lost to the Raiders since round 23, 2016 at GIO Stadium, winning five in a row against the Green Machine.

The Raiders have played close games against the competition heavyweights in 2019, but just can’t seem to get over the line against the Storm, Roosters or Bunnies on the scoreboard. Canberra has covered the equal-most games on the road of any side this season, with an 8-2 mark, but that record is under threat against Melbourne on Saturday, with The Wolf seeing the Storm as just too clinical for this Raiders side.
