The heavyweights have met twice this season already, scoring a big home win apiece. The Kings romped to a 104-85 victory in Sydney, but the Wildcats responded with a 19-point win of their own in Perth.
The 13-4 Kings fell into something of a mini-slump, with their 87-80 loss in Brisbane last Saturday their third in four games. But they responded via a 110-98 win over the Phoenix at home two days later. The Kings are 7-1 at Qudos Bank Arena this season.
Conversely, the 12-6 Wildcats’ four-game winning streak was halted last weekend by a 13-point home loss to Melbourne United. Their vaunted defence fell away – as it has been prone to do at times in their title defence. A 6-3 away record gives Perth some hope, but the Kings have been too good in Sydney to back against.
