Preview:

But both are coming off Round 12 victories. Will Magnay (23 points, 14 rebounds) starred as the Bullets snared an 87-80 upset over the ladder-leading Kings in Brisbane, arresting a two-game slide. The result improved the Bullets’ home record to a handy 5-2.

The embattled Breakers enjoyed a very fruitful Round 12, outlasting the Phoenix 90-84 in Christchurch then breaking their Australian duck in Wollongong with a 91-89 eclipse of the Hawks two days later. With Corey Webster departing for a stint in China, Scotty Hopson stepped up as the Breakers’ main man, averaging 21.5 points and 8 rebounds across the two games, and topping both categories for his side in both games.

The Breakers powered to a 96-85 win over the Bullets in Auckland earlier this month. They have a 3-3 all-time record in Brisbane.

While last weekend was a breakthrough, the Breakers are still a miserable 1-6 on the road and only just got past last-placed Illawarra. A fresher Bullets side – with only one game on their docket last weekend – should take care of business at home.
