That matchup is likely to live long in the memory for supporters of both clubs, with the Magpies accomplishing a significant upset by defeating the Eagles 76-75.

That result was a massive turnaround from their earlier 2020 meeting at Optus Stadium, which the Eagles won 111-45.

On recent form it would appear the latter of those results is more likely to be replicated on Friday.

Collingwood most recently lost 90-60 to a depleted GWS lineup at the MCG, marking its third defeat in four matches to begin 2021.
